Crown Environment
The external environmental conditions — including water quality, climate humidity, temperature, and UV exposure — that directly and continuously affect hair health.
Crown Score
A composite hair health metric calculated from scalp condition, moisture levels, breakage rate, growth consistency, and protective practice quality.

Hair Porosity
The measure of how readily the hair shaft absorbs and retains moisture, determined by the structure and behavior of the cuticle layer.
Hidden Breakage
Breakage that occurs gradually during styled periods or daily wear and is not visible until a style is removed or a significant amount accumulates.

Scalp Barrier
The protective outermost layer of the scalp — the stratum corneum — that regulates moisture, repels pathogens, and protects follicles from environmental and chemical stress.
